Along with her cousins, Carmen spent her childhood summers on her grandparents' farm surrounded by vineyards, small village markets, and a close-knit family where recipes were not written down, but lovingly passed from one generation to the next. The kitchen was the heart of everything. Mornings often began with the smell of fresh-baked bread emerging from the oven, while afternoons were filled with the slow simmer of soups and stews prepared with ingredients grown just steps from the door.
Inspired by these traditions, Taste of Transylvania brings authentic Eastern European cuisine to the table. Carmen specializes in comforting, homemade dishes that reflect the essence of Romanian cooking—rich, rustic, and deeply satisfying. Her menu features flavorful soups like ciorbă, hearty meals such as slow-cooked meats, stuffed cabbage rolls, and seasonal vegetable dishes, all crafted with care and authenticity.
